First the optics, cell phones won't be able to have the same quality of optics that say Nikon or Canon have. They won't be able to easily incorporate an optical zoom either without increasing the side of the cell phone, so I don't see that happening. Then the flash, a flash draws a lot of current (have you seen the large capacitor inside a digicam?) anyway that would kill the battery life of a cellphone if people started getting flash crazy. Sure it is nice that the Sony-Erricson(sp) phone has a 2.0MP camera and 1GB (to 4GB) of room for MP3s but yea, I can't see them ever coming close the a quality of a digital camera .
